How to back up, restore, or install on a new computer?
First, copy the data folder located at:
C:\ProgramData\Namtuk\ROFILES\
Next, paste this folder onto the new computer in the same location. Then, install the ROFILES demo version on the new computer.
Make sure to uninstall original installation.
Do you process data on Cloud or on an external server?
No, your data is processed locally on the computer/server where it is stored. The convertion to any format, extraction, ... are done on the same computer it is installed.
EXCEPT for the AI functions (action to summarize, to translate, to generate audio file, transcript audio to text or generate an image)
Do a user have to be logged into Windows?
No, it runs as a service in the background even when no user is logged into Windows.
Which file types can be processed?
Many file types can be handled, depending on the action required. The common files are:
- Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Text, Xml, Rtf, csv
- Html, Email MSG and EML
- Images in format: Png, Jpg, Bmp, Psd, Tiff, Gif, Webp, Heif, ...
- Zip file, Prn
- ...
